Facebook privacy simplified

Facebook is trying to make it easier for you to manage your
privacy controls.
Facebook has moved a step in the right direction as far as privacy is concerned.  Settings are easier to understand and easier to click through to making it easier to control what people see and who sees what.

Privacy shortcuts provide a straightforward way of managing your privacy settings.  There are two main options.  'Who Can See My Stuff' controls the audience of whatever you post.  Here you can have a look see at all the posts you have been tagged in via the 'Activity log', making it easier for you to request the removal of new photos someone tags you in.  This is where you will customise which of your friends will see your posts and whether or not to limit who can see your previous public posts.  while 'Who Can Look Me Up' is a little more obvious.

Right below the 'Privacy' option(located in the left sidebar) are the 'Timeline and tagging' and 'Blocking tabs'.  They do all the same stuff as before, they are just much easier to find now.

Facebook's simplified app permissions this time around too, as well as more information throughout the site on how each feature works, and a search bar near your Privacy Shortcuts that let's you search the help menu.

All in all it's a great new look and takes the hassle out of finding what setting where.  If you want to find out more just click the link and it will take you to Facebook's 'news' page.
