So Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn has reached its inevitable end. The quality of the webseries and the 22,000,000+ views only solidifies in my mind that live action does not need to change the feel and soul of the production from that of the source material in order to be a success. Everything was 'haloesque' and while I did not get to see any grunts, seeing the elites and the hunter on screen gave me immense joy.
I haven't viewed the series on Halo Waypoint. Nor have I been stalking the comments on the Machinima videos. But, I haven't seen or heard one negative comment on H4: FUD(I can't keep typing that long thing), besides the odd nitpick here or there that I might have shared.
Now that the series is finished I can honestly say that all the actors did well. I can't name them all but Tom Green(Thomas Lasky), Max Carver(Cadmon Lasky), Anna Popplewell(Chyler Silva), Jill Teed(Colonel Lasky), Masam Holden(Michael 'Sully' Sullivan) and of course, Daniel Cudmore as John-117 aka The Master Chief were the standouts to me(fanboyism could be colouring my opinion on the Master Chief bit though) and deserve any praise that comes their way.
I can only hope there will be another series in the not too distant future. Halo and non Halo fans alike should watch this series. It's the bee's knees.
Onward to Halo 4!(Which came out yesterday for those of you who didn't know!)
The Finale (Hunter Fi Dead!)
After a terrifying night of combat and loss, Lasky makes a life-or-death decision to help the Master Chief... but will it be enough to save them all from the Covenant?
Hmmm... Think I'll go take a look see at Halo Legends... AXIOS!
